The Healthy Women's Partnership of Cattaraugus County provides breast and
cervical cancer screening tests for women (ages 18-64) who are UNINSURED or
UNDERINSURED.
Women meeting eligibility criteria will be provided with breast self-exam
education, clinical breast exams, mammography, pelvic exams and pap smears at
little or no cost.
WHO IS AT RISK?
Every woman!
- Women with a personal or family history of breast cancer.
- Women whose first full term pregnancy was after age 30.
- Women who menstruated before age 12 and after age 50.
- Women who are overweight (20% over ideal weight).
These services are provided by grant monies to the Cattaraugus County Health
Department for the Partnership from the New York State Department of Health
and the Centers for Disease Control.
HEALTHY GUIDELINES
Age 40= Baseline mammogram
Age 40-49= Mammogram every 1-2 years
Ages 50+= Yearly mammogram
*A pelvic exam with pap smear is also recommended on an as
needed basis for women over the age of 18.

cancer, or pre-cancerous cervical condition who have come through the Healthy Women' s
Partnership Program.

- Cystaspiration with cytology
- Breast ultrasound
- Ultrasound directed biopsy
- Surgical consultation
- Colposcopy with or without pathology
- Stereotactic core biopsy
WE CAN OFFER:
- Follow up on abnormal screening results
- Annual reminders
- Patient support services
- Patient data management
NEW TREATMENT COVERAGE:

- Eligible women will be assigned a case manager to assist with:
- Scheduling appointments
- Applying for financial assistance
- Transportation to and from appointments
- Language barriers
- Child care
- Counseling
