Healthy Snack Taste Testing (Kindergarten - 2nd Grade)
- Students learn the benefits of eating healthy and choosing healthy snacks while
sampling a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables.
- Students share discussion after reading “The Berenstain Bears & Too Much Junk Food”
or “The Very Hungry Caterpillar”
Healthy Choices Sticker Program (3rd & 4th Grade)
- 3 week lunch program
- Students earn stickers each day when spotted eating a healthy food choice
- Stickers are accumulated to earn prizes
Fitness Bucks Auction (5th & 6th Grade)
- 3 week program
- Students track amount of physical activity they engage in at school, home, or on the
weekend monitored by Physical Education teachers
- 10 minutes of physical activity equals 1 buck
- Prizes are bid on through a silent auction
Fit & Fun© Relay Teams (7th & 8th Grade)
- An evening event focusing on the importance of physical activity
- 6 person teams of adults and students compete for prizes in several events
- Demonstrates a variety of fun ways to be physically active
- Encourages cooperation, teamwork, and participation
- Activities include: Basketball Free Throw, Hula Hoop, Jump Roping, Obstacle Course,
& Rope Climbing
Fit & Fun© Family Night
- Students, Staff, and the Community learn about the benefits of good nutrition and
physical activity while participating in various hands on activities and demonstrations
including Healthy Snacks, Displays, and Health Information.

Fit & Fun is a nutrition and physical education program that teaches kids how to
live a healthy lifestyle. The activities are designed to educate and inform
students early about the positive impact of healthy eating and regular physical
activity.
