"Walk your way to 10,000 Steps" is a continuous 6 week program.** The first week will be to discover
your baseline steps. DO NOT change your walking activity level for the first week. From week 2
through 6 you will add 500 steps to your daily total per week until you have reached or exceeded your
goal.
With your registration fee of $4, you will receive a beginning program incentive as well as an ending
prize. For an additional $4 you will receive a pedometer which counts your steps for you. At the end of
each day record your total steps on the tally card provided, and at the end of the week average up your
daily steps and compare your weekly step average to your weekly Goal.

At the end of the program the participants that finished the program will also be eligible for additional
prizes ranging in worth from $5 - $200.
**County-wide programs are run twice a year, but we can run individual
sessions at any time
